November 2020 Volunteer of the Month: Judy Render

Since 2013, Judy Render has been volunteering regularly with Project Host. To thank her for her unwavering service, we’ve chosen her as our November Volunteer of the Month. Below Judy shares more about why she gives so much of her time to Project Host.

What motivates you to come and spend your time at Project Host?

I enjoy working with people who see a need in our community and care about others. Hopefully we’re making a difference.

What's your relationship to our guests?

Being a regular Monday volunteer allows me to get to know many of our guests on a first-name basis and to hear their stories and learn about their lives. I love giving them a smile and a warm personal hello each morning. Even though one guest calls me “Trouble,” it’s a fun connection we’ve made.
